الْمَزْمُورُ الثَّامِن
إِلَى قَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ عَلَى الْجَتِّيَّةِ.
مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ
1أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ سَيِّدُنَا، مَا أَعْظَمَ اسْمَكَ فِي آُلِّ الأَرْضِ، بِهِ بَسَطْتَ جَلاَلَكَ فَوْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ. 2مِنْ أَفْوَاهِ
الأَطْفَالِ وَالرُّضَّعِ أَسَّسْتَ حَمْداً، لإِفْحَامِ خُصُومِكَ، وَإِسْكَاتِ عَدُوٍّ وَمُنْتَقِمٍ.
3عِنْدَمَا أَتَأَمَّلُ سَمَاوَاتِكَ الَّتِي أَبْدَعَتْهَا أَصَابِعُكَ، وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ الَّتِي رَتَّبْتَ مَدَارَاتِهَا 4أُسَائِلُ نَفْسِي:
مَنْ هُوَ الإِنْسَانُ حَتَّى تَهْتَمَّ بِهِ؟ أَوِ «ابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ» حَتَّى تَعْتَبِرَهُ؟ 5جَعَلْتَهُ أَدْنَى قَلِيلاً مِنَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِلَى
حِينٍ، ثُمَّ آَلَّلْتَهُ بِالْمَجْدِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ 6وَأَعْطَيْتَهُ السُّلْطَةَ عَلَى آُلِّ مَا صَنَعَتْهُ يَداكَ. أَخْضَعْتَ آُلَّ شَيْءٍ
تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ. 7الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَقَرَ وَجَمِيعَ الْمَوَاشِي، وَوُحُوشَ الْبَرِّيَّةِ أَيْضاً، 8وَالطُّيُورَ والأَسْمَاكَ وَجَمِيعَ
الْحَيَوَانَاتِ الْمَائِيَّةِ. 9أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ سَيِّدُنَا، مَا أَعْظَمَ اسْمَكَ فِي آُلِّ الأَرْضِ!
