A Love Bigger Than the Sky

There are moments when my heart feels like it might just burst with joy, especially when I think about the ones I love most — my Father in heaven, my family, and the countless ways I’ve seen God’s hand in my life. Truly, my Father and Mother — God the Father and His nurturing Spirit — are my only desire, my only support, my only comfort. Without them, I am nothing. With them, I am everything I was meant to be.

The Bible says, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me” (Psalm 27:10, NIV). Even if the world walks away, God’s love remains. It’s a love that has carried me through dark valleys and lifted me onto high places I could never have reached on my own.

God Remembers
Sometimes we feel overlooked or forgotten, especially when our prayers seem unanswered. But the same God who remembered Hannah in her barrenness, and Abraham in his waiting, remembers you and me too.

Hannah’s story in 1 Samuel 1:19-20 shows us that God doesn’t forget our cries. After years of heartbreak, the Bible says, “The Lord remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son.” Her waiting wasn’t wasted — it was woven into a story far greater than she could have imagined.

Likewise, God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations when he didn’t even have one child (Genesis 17:4-5). Against all odds, Abraham believed, and “it was credited to him as righteousness” (Romans 4:22).

I’ve seen this in my own life too. There were seasons when I felt barren — not physically, but spiritually, emotionally. Times when I prayed for a breakthrough, a direction, or just a sign that God still saw me. And He did. It wasn’t always immediate, but looking back, I see how each “delay” was actually His perfect preparation.

If you’re in that season right now — waiting, wondering — let me remind you: God remembers. Your tears are not wasted. Your prayers are not forgotten. Just like Hannah. Just like Abraham. Just like you.

A Love That Makes the World Look Small
Standing beneath the open sky on a clear night, I’m often overwhelmed by how vast and beautiful it all is. Yet even that great expanse is small compared to God’s love.

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him” (Psalm 103:11, NIV).

Before His love, the struggles of this world shrink into perspective. Yes, life has hard moments. But when I remember His heart for me — a heart as wide as the sky — I find peace that doesn’t make sense by human standards. It’s a peace that roots me when life tries to toss me around.

One evening, after a particularly tough day, I sat outside and just looked up. No words, no fancy prayers. Just silence. And in that moment, I heard Him whisper to my heart, “I’m here. I’m bigger than this.” That reminder changed everything.

He Lifts Up the Humble
Scripture tells us that God not only sees the lowly but raises them up.

“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock” (Psalm 40:2, NIV). This is what He did for David, who went from a forgotten shepherd boy to the greatest king Israel ever knew.

“God gave Daniel favor and compassion” (Daniel 1:9, ESV). Even in exile, Daniel was raised to a place of honor because of his faithfulness and trust in God.

God is still in the business of lifting heads and setting feet on solid ground. I’ve seen Him do it — not just in Bible stories, but in my friends’ lives, in my family’s lives, and yes, even in mine.

When I was fresh out of school, I felt directionless, like everyone else had a map and I was wandering with an empty compass. Yet slowly, step by step, God opened doors — not always the doors I expected, but the ones I needed. He gave me strength when I was weak and courage when I wanted to quit. He placed mentors and encouragers along my path, reminding me that no one is forgotten by Him.

Known Before Birth
One of the most beautiful truths in Scripture is how personally God knows us:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart” (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV).

Think about that: before your mother even knew you existed, God did. He knew your laugh, your tears, your dreams, your battles. He called you by name and claimed you as His own.

If you ever feel insignificant, remember this — the Creator of galaxies thought the world needed you. That is no small thing.

Practical Ways to Remember God’s Love
Here are a few simple ways I try to stay rooted in God’s love when life feels overwhelming:

Write down answered prayers — Big or small, keeping a “God’s Faithfulness” journal reminds me that He’s always at work.

Speak Scripture out loud — Verses like Psalm 27:10 or Jeremiah 1:5 remind my heart of His promises.

Spend time under the sky — No agenda, no phone. Just being still and remembering how big He is and how loved I am.

Share your story — You never know who needs to hear how God lifted you up.

Final Thoughts
Before His love, this world is small. His heart and His mind are wider than the sky, deeper than the oceans, stronger than death itself. You are seen. You are known. You are loved with a love that will never let you go.

Take a deep breath today. Look up. Smile. You are remembered by the One who holds the stars.
