Noah and the Ark – Kids Bible stories
Once upon a time, there was a man named Noah who lived in a world filled with evil and wickedness. But Noah was different from the others because he had great faith in God. One day, God told Noah to build a giant boat, called an ark, because He was going to send a flood to wash away all the bad things in the world.
Noah listened to God and worked very hard to build the ark. He followed God’s instructions and made sure that there was enough room for two of every animal and creature on the ark. People laughed at Noah and thought he was crazy, but Noah trusted in God and kept building.
Finally, the day came when the rain started to fall. Noah and his family, along with all the animals, went onto the ark and the door was closed. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights, but Noah and his family and all the animals were safe and dry inside the ark.
After the rain stopped, Noah sent out a dove to see if there was any dry land. The dove came back, but then Noah sent it out again and it came back with an olive leaf. This meant that there was now dry land for them to go on.
Finally, after many months, the ark came to rest on top of a mountain and Noah and his family and all the animals were able to leave. God promised to never destroy the earth with a flood again and He put a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a sign of His promise.
The story of Noah’s ark teaches us to have faith in God and to trust that He will keep His promises. It also reminds us to be kind and take care of all the animals and creatures on the earth.
