ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (16.04.2023):
VERSE:
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. (PSALM 139:3 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, let’s meditate on the promise verse, “Whether I walk or lie down, you surround me; you know all my ways.” (Psalm 139:3).
In the Bible we read about the servant of God named Jonah. Although he was a servant of God, he once disobeyed the word of the Lord and was thrown into the sea and was in the pitiful situation of being inside the belly of a fish.
In that situation where his soul was weak, he prayed to God. His prayer was received by the Lord. The Lord commanded the fish. It washed Jonah ashore.
Yes! Beloved, no matter what situation we are in, the Lord is watching over us. Humans may try to destroy you many times. But don’t be afraid of them. God’s eyes are eyes that see the good and the evil!
Especially, eyes that watch over those who have a good heart about Him, explaining His power to them. A woman named Hagar happily said to the Lord who came looking for her with love, “You are the God who sees me”.
When a woman was abandoned by everyone, she suffered in poverty and loneliness. Creditors surrounded her. The husband ran and disappeared somewhere. The situation of what will happen next moment. In that situation she remembered the story of Jonah.
She surrendered herself saying, “God who saved his servant from the belly of the fish, now you will see my pitiful situation. There is no one who can help me and save me from this trouble today. But I know that you, the god, will not abandon me and save me.” The Lord made good things come to her in surprising and unexpected ways. He opened the way for her to be rescued from that evil situation.
Yes! Beloved, today you too may be in a state of closeness and abandonment, fearful of what will happen the next moment. Don’t forget that the Lord is watching over you. Hold fast to Him, remembering that He is the God who sees you. He has mercy and forgiveness.
PRAYER:
God of love! How happy I am when I think that You are around me and You are keeping Your hands on me, no matter what the situation is. I also hold you firmly. Bless me with your divine embrace. I pray in the name of Jesus Good Father, Amen!
