Marriage, as an institution, has been a cornerstone of human society since time immemorial. Marriage as a Divine Institution:

Wives: Wives are encouraged to submit to their husbands, not as a sign of inferiority, but as a reflection of the church’s submission to Christ. They are to respect and support their husbands in their roles as spiritual leaders.

Marriage as a Reflection of Christ and the Church:

Ephesians 5:32 (NIV) reveals a profound truth about marriage: “This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.” According to the Apostle Paul, marriage is not only a union between two individuals but also a reflection of the relationship between Christ and His church. The Sanctity of Marriage:

The Bible places a high value on the sanctity of marriage, emphasizing fidelity and the preservation of the marital bond. Hebrews 13:4 (NIV) states, “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.” This verse underscores the importance of faithfulness within marriage and the serious consequences of infidelity.

In the biblical worldview, marriage is more than a social contract; it is a sacred covenant ordained by God. It is a union characterized by love, unity, and mutual respect, where each partner plays distinct yet complementary roles.
